The County Orthopedic Unit is a regional clinic located in three locations: Sundsvall, Sollefteå, and Örnsköldsvik. The unit conducts both planned and emergency services, focused on orthopedic injuries and diseases. This includes the Orthopedic Technical Department and the Care Hotel at Sundsvall Hospital. The orthopedic department provides pre- and post-operative care for orthopedic patients, where pain relief and mobilization are of great importance for the care process. We are looking for three nursing assistants to join our team.

Here at the orthopedic department, we focus on the patient's needs and strive for patient-centered teamwork where tasks are integrated and employees complement each other. Training will take place within the team with more experienced staff. We aim to strengthen competence in orthopedics, and internal training will be offered. Working hours are scheduled during daytime and evening.

The positions are permanent full-time with a start date of 2026-03-23 or by agreement.

Nursing Assistant for Orthopedic Department 14, Sundsvall Job Responsibilities

• Pre- and post-operative care
• Work preventively regarding the risk of pressure ulcers, falls, and malnutrition
• Standard nursing assistant tasks in an emergency care department
• Work closely with nurses in monitoring and caring for orthopedic patients
• Focus on mobilization and optimization of orthopedic patients

We are looking for someone who

• Is a trained nursing assistant
• Has good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing

It is advantageous if you

• Have experience working in a care department or emergency care
• Have at least 1 year of work experience as a nursing assistant
